Darrell Allardice is South African born and emigrated to Australia in 1997. He started his art career with Eileen Rogoff, a well-known South African and Australian artist in her own right, at her studio in the eastern suburbs of Sydney.
He has publicly exhibited and sold many of his paintings. He has been commissioned to paint privately for individuals as well as corporate businesses both locally and overseas and has supported numerous charitable organizations in Sydney with his paintings. |

The new compositions that Darrell is painting currently are mainly African influenced in strong, rich, vibrant colours in mixed media with lots of texture giving an almost tangible feel to the paintings. This style is evident across the spectrum of his art from buildings, landscapes, figures and still life.

The buyers of Darrell's paintings have been attracted mainly by the strong, rich colours as well as the pleasing subject matter. These compositions are varied from semi-abstract landscapes and figures to a semi-impressionistic style of still life and buildings.
